About MIT Pune

Maharashtra Institute of Technology has begun its admission process for the session 2024-25. Students can now check the status of their JEE Main 2024 session one result. JEE Main 2024 session 2 registration is ongoing and will end on March 02, 2024.

MAEER'S Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) is a leading private institute of engineering located in Pune. The college was established in 1983 and affiliated to the University of Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. MIT Pune is recognized by UGC and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. MIT Pune has now been renamed as MIT-WPU (MIT World Peace University)

The college has been recognized as a leading engineering college by well-known surveys and rating agencies. According to the survey of news magazine 'Outlook', MIT Pune has ranked 1st in Maharashtra & 11th in India amongst the finest private engineering colleges. As per the recent Times survey, MIT Pune is ranked 27th among all Indian engineering institutes including IITs, 8th in all private Indian engineering institutes and 7th in western India.

MIT Pune offers four-year degree courses in various branches of engineering and postgraduate courses in various specializations. All MIT engineering courses are NBA accredited and are committed to getting NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and ABET accreditation soon. The vision of the college is to transform a young, enthusiastic student into a professionally competent engineer. A team of experienced senior faculty members supported by well-trained staff is always willing to bring the best out of each student and mentor him/her so that they turn out to be highly responsible professional engineers.

The institute lays an emphasis on R&D which is driven by the various departments & faculty members. Currently MIT Pune is running over 40 research projects funded by various agencies. Also, the institute has a very strong alumni network that works towards the betterment of the students and the institute. Admission to all courses offered by the college is based on merit as per rules and norms laid down by the Director of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.

MIT's reputation as a premier engineering college is evident from its placements record & corporate relations. Thirty-one Multi-National and 'Fortune 500' companies have signed collaboration agreements with MIT, Pune to offer high tech projects and Internships to the students. The training and placement cell guides students in exploring the best career options matching their skill sets.

MIT Pune campus has excellent infrastructure with all the modern facilities. The college consists of spacious buildings, lush green lawns, a good library with e-resources for scholarly studies, hostel, well-equipped laboratories, and moreover a peaceful atmosphere. The college also makes an effort to encourage its students to participate in various social, cultural and sports activities. Also, MIT Pune has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering athletic meet, table tennis tournaments, basketball tournaments, and so on. MIT Pune has also hosted India’s ultimate auto quiz the “Auto Quotient – Season 8” in association with Mahindra & Mahindra.
